Das Kirchenzelt in der Glückaufkampfbahn

Heute machten wir uns nach der Andacht auf zum alten Fußballstadium "Glückauf-Kampfbahn", um dort im Kirchenzelt großen und kleinen Leuten zu begegnen.
Unsere Jungs aus England sind nicht nur schwer fußballbegeistert, sie sind auch "Meister ihres Fachs". So konnten die Kids versuchen, den Torwart zu besiegen (was einigen sogar gelang, pssst :) ). Andere konnten beim Kicker ihr Können unter Beweis stellen, für die Kleineren gab es "Face-painting", einen Minikicker usw. Der große Renner war auch die Torwand. Aber es ging natürlich nicht nur ums Spielen. So wurden wieder einmal zahllose "WM-Specials, Kickoffs und Minimags" verteilt, aber auch einige gute Gespräche geführt. Eine unserer jungen Frauen kam begeistert zurück: "Zum ersten Mal konnte ich einer fremden Person erzählen, wie ich zum Glauben an Jesus Christus gekommen bin!"
Eine besondere Fügung war natürlich, dass ausgerechnet an diesem Tag Deutschland spielte und das Stadium gepackt voll war. Noch nie habe ich (Conny) so viele begeisterte Menschen auf einem Platz gesehen. Aber etwas griff mir tief ans Herz, die Tatsache, wie viele von ihnen verloren sein werden, wenn sie Gott nicht kennenlernen und ihm ihr Leben anvertrauen.
Wie gut, dass wir so eine gute Gelegenheit haben, ihnen die gute Botschaft von Gott weiter zu sagen!
Today after the devotion time we travelled to the old football stadium, Glückauf-kampfbahn, to spend time meeting with children and adults there. Our boys from England are not just enthusiastic about football, they are very skilled in this area, known as "Masters of the subject". The kids tried to beat the goalie (and some of them actually succeeded sssh :) ). Other people could show their skills by playing tablefootball but playing games was not the only agenda for the day., we also distrbuted many of the WM specials (War Cry) and Kick Off Mini Mags, also many good conversations were shared with the local people. One of our young women reported enthusiastically that it was the first time she had been able to share her testimony with someone else. It was really good that Germany plaed on this day and the stadium was packed with around 20,000 fans. Never before had I (Conny) seen so many passionate people in one spot but the fact that so many would be lost without Jesus really impacted me. It was good to have this opportunity to share the Good news of Jesus with these people.
